Classes Reservations in the Fitness Club
Organized classes are an integral part of the activity of fitness clubs. People practicing in sports clubs appreciate the opportunity to have an alternative to strength training. The variety of choice of organized activities therefore affects the attractiveness of the club for customers. However, the more classes, the more difficult and time-consuming it can be to manage them. So, fitness clubs which base their offer on organized classes, need a good system to manage reservations to function efficiently.
More and more often used solutions are systems enabling clients to book classes themselves. Nowadays, when smartphones are an integral part of people’s lives, it is worth ensuring that reservations are also possible through mobile devices.
When talking to our clients, we often hear the opinion that creating a mobile application for booking classes in a small fitness club is too difficult to do. Therefore, we decided to create a dedicated mobile application that can be easily implemented even in small facilities. After the club provides us with relevant materials regarding club branding, GYMMANAGER deals with the entire process of creating a personalized application.
We talked with one of our clients: Magda – the owner of the Mięta Fitness Studio, in which we have recently implemented a dedicated mobile application. We asked about how the application was implemented in their club and how they manage class bookings with the help of a dedicated mobile application.
How do your customers react to information that your fitness club has a dedicated mobile application?
Customers respond very positively to information that our club has a dedicated mobile application. Nowadays it is natural that clients are happy with such types of technological solutions. Many people are surprised that as a relatively small fitness studio we have our own dedicated application - fully adapted to our facility. We often get questions about how we did it, when we had time to implement such a personalized solution and by whom it was implemented. As the owner of the club, I am most pleased that the application looks like it was created by ourselves, and in fact it was made for us by GYMMANAGER and we do not have to worry about any technical issues related to the creation of such an application.
Is the tutorial appearing at the first login sufficient to know all the application possibilities?
Absolutely. Even me - after logging in to our application for the first time, I used the tutorial to see how it all works and I had no problems with subsequent navigation in the application. There has not yet been any situation in which the customer would report a problem related to the use of the application, as well as with the downloading and installation. It is very intuitive and transparent, so even people who are not familiar with technology are able to cope with navigation in this application.
Are customers more likely to book classes in the application than in the client panel?
Yes, the clients I talked to said that booking classes in the dedicated mobile application is much more convenient and faster. Nowadays, each of us always has a smartphone on hand, so reservations can be made in just a few seconds. Having an application on the phone, customers do not have to log in to their account in the system every time, just by clicking on the icon with the logo of our club, they immediately have access to view available classes and their reservations. I often open the application myself to see what has changed, how many places are available in individual classes and it is lightning fast.
Has the number of missed bookings decreased due to the option of canceling reservations in the mobile application?
When customers have the option of canceling attendance in classes in the application, there is a greater chance that they will do so if they do not have the possibility to attend training. Just like when booking classes, canceling reservations in the application takes place in just a few simple steps, so the customer does not have to spend much of their time to do so.
What has changed since the implementation of the dedicated mobile application at the club?
The most important thing for us is that thanks to the dedicated mobile application everything goes more efficiently, and this encourages customers to visit the club again. We also appreciate the possibility of registering new customers in the mobile application. They can set up an account in our club in a few simple steps, so there is a greater chance that they will register, sign up for classes and most importantly they will become our clients permanently.
